Ambulance Service
The North Riverside Fire Department provides Emergency Medical Services to residents and visitors of the Village 24 hours per day. The department operates 1 fully equipped paramedic ambulance, which is staffed by 2 full time paramedics. In addition, the department provides back up with a fully equipped reserve ambulance. All the firefighters are trained and certified emergency medical technicians. They will provide support to the paramedics for critical calls and for multiple ambulance calls. Because the North Riverside Fire Department provides emergency service, we can only transport to the closest appropriate hospital. Currently we transport to Loyola, Mac Neal, Oak Park or Hines Hospitals.
