EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS

The Village of North Riverside has multiple methods of disseminating important or emergency information to our Residents.

Please  know that all of these services are FREE* to residents.

Nixle

The North Riverside Police Department and Recreation Department have partnered with Nixle LLC.  Nixle is a nationally utilized and recognized service for sending urgent information to subscribers at no cost to the Village or subscriber*.  

How It Works

When a message is entered into the system, depending on your settings and the type of message sent, a text message is sent to your mobile device with all of the pertinent information, with a link to a webpage where the full alert message is posted.  You will also receive an e-mail with the full details.  All of this occurs within seconds of the message being sent from our office.

CityWatch Notification System

The North Riverside Police Department has purchased the CityWatch Notification System using Homeland Security Grant Funding.  Click Here to register, or learn more.
