In addition to maintaining roads and Village property, the North Riverside Public Works department offers community services that include the Handyman Program and snow removal for qualified individuals.
Public Works will notify all residents of any street detours by means of resurfacing, for any changes in garbage collection, and any other changes that are made due to maintenance or holidays. Residents will be notified by the following formats: a letter hand delivered to every resident, a letter in the Suburban Life newspaper, by the Village newsletter and by our web site.
As a reminder, all employees within the the Public Works Department carry an identification card. If you have any concerns about who is at your door, you are urged to contact the police. Do not open the door. Public Works employees have a Public Works logo on their shirt, as well as the Village logo.
All equipment is painted with bold letters, and have a truck number.
