BRANCH COLLECTION

Branch collection is every Tuesday from April through November. Please place your branches curbside on Monday evening. The Public Works Department goes down every block for pickup. Please do not mix brush with dirt, and remove any dirt from around the roots of the brush. Our chipper cannot take dirt as it will destroy the blades. Later in the day, we will also pick up the ball (root structure) with a tractor.

STREET SWEEPING

The Public Works Department operates the street sweeper every day Monday through Friday from March until the first snowfall. Every curb is swept once a week and alleys once a month. Please exercise caution when passing the street sweeper.

SUMMER TIME EMPLOYMENT

STREET RESURFACING OR CHANGE IN GARBAGE COLLECTION

Public Works will notify all residents of any street detours by means of resurfacing, for any changes in garbage collection, and any other changes that are made due to maintenance or holidays. Residents will be notified by the following formats: a letter hand delivered to every resident, a letter in the Suburban Life newspaper, by the Village newsletter and by our web site.

As a reminder, all employees within the the Public Works Department carry an identification card. If you have any concerns about who is at your door, you are urged to contact the police. Do not open the door. Public Works employees have a Public Works logo on their shirt, as well as the Village logo.  

All equipment is painted with bold letters, and have a truck number.
