Preschool Programs Engage your child in an early childhood program. The Recreation Department provides a nine month preschool for children ages 3-5 in addition to seasonal classes in sports, art, music and dance. Please refer to our Program Guide for more information. Youth Classes A variety of classes for youths ages 6-12 are offered to encourage participation. Classes include (but not limited to) team and individual sports, dance, art, music and crafts. Please refer to our program guide for details. Teen and Adult Classes From fitness classes to sports to cooking, to seminars, the Recreation Department offers a variety of classes to meet the interests of youths and adults. Please refer to our Recreation Program Guide for details. Special Events A variety of Events are sponsored by the Recreation Department throughout the year. Events include Free Concerts in the Park, Flea Markets, Movie In The Park, holiday parties and celebrations. North Riverside Players Each year, the North Riverside Players produces two musicals. Dates and times of performances can be obtained from the Community Theater Website or by contacting the Recreation Department. Trips Residents and their guests are invited to register for the exciting trips that are offered through the Recreation Department. Trips are scheduled during the day or evening. We also offer 3 day and week long excursions. Our trips fill quickly, so please register early. Please refer to our Recreation Program Guide for detailed information about the trips. Clubs Just-In-Between, Golden Agers, Needle Craft, Quilters Guild, Table Tennis, Walking, Bridge and Pinochle are some of the clubs that are being offered by the Village of North Riverside through the Recreation Department.
