Sign up for any one of our Youth Athletic programs throughout the year. We offer Winter, Spring and Summer basketball, as well as Spring and Fall Soccer. Learn self-defense in Tae Kwon Do or improve your skills in our Volleyball classes.
Adult-Tot Sports
Parents are an integral part of helping their tots develop basic sports movement and motor skills. Motor skill activities focus on hand/eye and hand/foot coordination. Sports equipment and instruction are provided to help guide your child through an introduction to organized sports. Parents or caregiver participation is required.

T-ball Skills Clinic
This introductory T-ball program is perfect for a child who wants to have fun, make new friends and be introduced to baseball. Participants enjoy learning the skills needed to play baseball including offense and defense, as well as the rules and philosophies of the game. The program stresses teamwork over competition. All you need to bring is a glove!

Baseball Clinic
This baseball class gives players an introduction to baseball. Players work on technique and enhancing form in this comprehensive skills clinic. This program teaches throwing mechanics as well as batting stance, bat positioning and speed, using both live pitching and hitting off the tee. Players learn various positions in the field through game play and basic in game strategy. Players should bring their own gloves, and be ready for a fun, fast paced learning environment.

Co-Ed Summer Youth Basketball League
Offseason warm up! Registrations continue until all spaces are filled. All teams will be created by NRPRD Recreation Staff based on player ranking given by parents. No practices will be provided, only games. Game shirt is included.
Game Dates: Games will be held on Saturdays
Approximate Game Times: Preschool through 2nd Grade will play on Saturday mornings. Grades 3-8 will play Saturday afternoons/evenings.

Girls Summer Youth Basketball League
Put your skills into action with the Girls Only Youth Basketball League. We enhance your skills in this recreational league. The NRPRD promotes a recreational basketball program in a safe and developmental environment. We encourage good sportsmanship, developing strong playing skills, and promoting friendly relationships among the players, coaches, referees and parents. Our main contact is email-so please make sure it’s correct on file. All teams will be created by NRPRD Recreation Staff based on player ranking given by parents. No practices will be provided, only games. Game jersey is included.

Adult-Tot Soccer
Young children develop motor skills while having fun running and kicking. Parents and tots work together in this class, learning the basics of soccer. Dribbling, passing, shooting and kicking will all be emphasized. A variety of activities will be played each week.

Pee Wee Soccer
Let your child’s early soccer experience be a great one. The younger player develops their soccer skills and also gains confidence, coordination, motor skills and communication. The program uses age appropriate drills and exercises to teach players kicking, ball control, dribbling, shooting and more.

Soccer Skills Clinic
Players are introduced to the fundamentals of soccer tactics such as passing the ball, offensive moves, defensive moves, keeping/controlling the ball and taking the ball away from the opposing team. Players learn to score and prevent goals. Physical endurance and fitness are emphasized while touching the ball. At this age, the focus starts to change from simple games to organized, tactical, competitive games.

Junior Tennis
In this fun and engaging class, young tennis players will have the opportunity to learn basic tennis skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. We will focus on developing fundamental tennis skills such as handeye coordination, footwork, grip and swing technique, and basic court positioning. We will also introduce basic tennis rules and scoring, so that kids can begin to understand the game at a deeper level. Our experienced coaches will provide expert instruction and guidance, helping each child develop their own unique style and technique.

Junior Tennis
Welcome to Tennis Fundamentals! In this class, young tennis players will have the opportunity to take their skills to the next level while having fun and enjoying the game. We will focus on developing the fundamental tennis skills needed to play the game at a higher level. These skills include footwork, proper technique for groundstrokes and serves, volleys, overheads, and basic strategies for singles and doubles play. We will also work on building strength, endurance, and agility through fitness drills and exercises. Our experienced coaches will provide expert instruction and guidance, helping each child develop their own unique style and technique.

Next Level Tae Kwon Do Tae Kwon Do
is so much more than self-defense. This art crosses into other areas of life by enhancing physical conditioning, selfdefense, self-discipline, self-esteem, self-control and respect. Grand Master Kidd boasts an 8th Degree Black Belt, and passes on his knowledge to all involved. This form of martial arts is known for its kicks, punches and blocks. Class is offered on Mondays and/or Saturdays. Little Ninja students wishing to move up to this class must have instructor’s permission. Uniform order forms will be handed out after first class. Belt Tests can be taken to progress to the next level regularly.
