Plan Ahead So You Don't Get Caught Without!
Residents are no longer asked to call in their guests' vehicles parked overnight on village streets with the Police Department or to report them online. Instead, purchase your supply of overnight guest parking passes today.
Any car parked overnight on a village street must have either a current North Riverside vehicle sticker or a daily guest parking permit clearly displayed and visible from the outside of the vehicle. The face of the permit must be completely filled out with the resident's address, license plate number of the guest vehicle, and date the vehicle will be parked overnight on the street and must be printed in ink or marker, legible, and visible from outside the vehicle. Overnight parking permits are valid for one use only and cannot be duplicated or transferred. Blank or improperly completed parking permits displayed in a vehicle are prohibited and subject to ticketing.
These passes are on sale now at the Village Commons or North Riverside Police Records Division during regular business hours. Parking permits come in pre-packaged booklets of ten and cost $25 per book. Residents are limited to only two books per transaction and must show proof of residency to purchase.
We encourage you to keep a supply of permits on hand at all times to avoid the unexpected.
Violators are subject to police enforcement beginning December 1, 2022.
